Mondays are normally pretty crappy. They’re full of dread and loss over the great weekend that just happened.
But today, this Monday, was one of the best Mondays ever. We got to see our little bean finally. And, as it turns out, he’s a boy.
His little foot. I love baby feet.
When we first went in he was crouched down in the lowest part of my uterus and wouldn’t let us see a thing. But, true to the little man’s nature, he moved around a ton and the tech was able to detect his gender pretty easily. She was only 75% sure at first, but after a second he shifted a little and she went to 90%.
Everyone thought he was a girl. I’m assuming it’s because we already have a boy. But, we couldn’t be happier. I’m excited to have 2 little boys. I have the most amazing relationship with the little boy I already have, and feel blessed that I get to have another one of those relationships. And you know what, he’s healthy. He seems perfect.
These are the only 3d shot we were able to get, and they’re pretty horrible. He’s all contorted from the way he was laying and he has his arm in his face. The second one is hard to tell because he looks like he’s missing half his head, but it’s more of a profile shot. But, as true to my form, my placenta is low lying and I have to go back in a month to get another ultrasound. So, we will end up with some more pictures. And hopefully he’s cooperating more.
Everyone was pretty crispy at us because we didn’t tell them right away, but we wanted to do something cute to tell everyone the news. So, this is what we did.
Little Kian, you are already loved, and we can’t wait until you arrive.
Oh, and we totally leave for London in a couple of hours, and I think I could sleep on this here keyboard I’m already so exhausted. So think of me while you get to down that coffee and tea. I’m jealous.
