As I so cryptically alluded to in the title of this post (sarcasm here), I’m starting with changing #29.  I mean honestly, I pretty much have a limited number of friends.  And honestly, as we have more children, the friends we have are becoming more and more unavailable in the dating department.  I would be completely unsuccessful at this accomplishment, and I’m very sorry to all who were hoping they would be the lucky person I would hook up.  Or to that one person.  You know who you are.  :-)

Instead, I’m going to put have a baby, because well, that’s obviously what I’m going to do.  I don’t think 9 months of giving my body over to someone else should end up with not a whole lot of success, so it’s going on my 30 before 30 list.  It’s going to be our absolute last child, and so it’s a perfect something to do in my last year of 20.  They say your fertility goes down by half once you reach 30 anyway.

Oh, and I’m going to change it to #30, just to be more dramatic.

I’m also going to edit the wording on a few, but it’s nothing big.  They will essentially stay the same, but a little difference because of the pregnancy (I still plan on getting Simone a kick ass present).

See, readers, my problem is that I never want to actually sit at the computer.  For me to post on this website with some grand pictures (and lets not kid ourselves here, it’s really the only interesting thing about this website) I need to sit at the computer to do so.  Ever since I started grad school, sitting in front of the computer has become nothing more than doing homework to me.  And since I have been in school for 64.3 years, I’m starting to avoid doing any unnecessary homework.  I could say that I will try and be better but we all know there is about a 3% chance of that actually happening.

Well, back in DECEMBER, we took Erik to the museum of play in Rochester.  We convinced Brandon’s mother, her boyfriend Wayne, and his daughter Shen to come along with us, so it was definitely a good time.  Erik quite liked it and has asked to go back again already.  If you have a child, and you like to roam around and have things other than your own mind amuse your child, it’s the place to be.

Wayne was so strong he broke the machine.  :-)

I don’t know how Erik ended up with some of my hair on his head, but the poor kid now looks like he has a comb over.  Hopefully it’s not a sign of things to come.

Alright, I’m working on a bigger post here for the next post, which should hopefully be up in the next few days.  I will be sadly adjusting my 30 before 30 list because, well, I have no choice.  For those that understand why, it’s exciting, right?  For those that don’t, I’m sorry, you will, in the next couple of days.  When I have motivation to do some homework.

I still feel like the roaming gnome, but at least this time it’s on Sesame Street!  Rock on!

Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Well, I know I mentioned before that I had already gotten one thing done, and since I actually had to take pictures of myself in that one thing, one thing turned into two things.  To make myself clear, I had bought myself a new coat with my birthday money from my mother, and then I bought myself some new boots with my Christmas money from my mother.  So go mother for helping me get my 30 before 30 list done.

I finally broke down a purchased myself that was something other than a North Face jacket.  Surprising to say the least.  It’s very cute, and it’s from alloy: http://store.alloy.com/item.do?categoryID=1822&itemID=53779

Problem is, there is a tiny hole in the pocket, so I never wear it.  So I bought it back in October, but I’ve worn it maybe once.  It’s wicked cute though.

Sorry, but my husband isn’t the best photographer.  Sorry dear.

Since it took me so long to get pictures of myself in the coat, I’m wearing the new boots I bought as well.  These were none other than Roxy, which I guess isn’t so strange for me after all.  But, I love them.  And, they’re like nothing I own.  So there, they’re different.

I have only gotten to wear these once, and it was to a 5 year old’s birthday party.  I don’t think I get points for being stylish there.  But they require skinny jeans, and skinny jeans are not so fun.  At least not to me.  I like loose, and comfortable.  In other words, my North Face jacket and my Ugg boots.  I should have put on here that I need to actually wear them to complete the task.  Ha.

Alright, I’m off to yell at Erik for not napping.  I mean, of course I wouldn’t yell at my cute innocent child.  Of course.

Happy Holidays!  :-)

As Brandon would say, this is one of the “easier ones.”  It didn’t take too much effort on my part, but, it’s not something that I’ve ever done, and wouldn’t have done if I hadn’t put it on this list.  It’s not that I don’t think voting is useful, but I have never found a reason to vote in a non-presidential election year. On the Preble ballot this year, there was only 4 different categories to actually vote for.  And honestly, is that really worth my time?

But, it really is.  And as we so quickly realized as I was laying in bed with a pounding headache insisting that I could wait until another time to get this task done, if I didn’t do it on election day this year, I would have missed the boat. Brandon graciously pointed out that would mean I failed.  Thanks Husband.

So, I voted.

It was the first time I had been in the Preble Fire Hall because the last time I voted we lived in Binghamton.  I voted for county legislator, town justice, town council, and town highway superintendent.  As Brandon expressed his admiration for me finally voting, I rolled my eyes and though to myself, I should be doing this every year.  I will from now on.

I feel like the roaming gnome.

I had to include this picture because my kid is cute.

I’m getting these tasks done quickly!  Then again, it seems like I’m getting the easy ones done first.  Slacker.
