So, what we hoped to work out worked out. Come again you say?
I know, our luck shits the bed, but alas, sometimes you have to believe things will work out and they will.
Or you can just follow my line of thinking and just think things aren’t going to work out and be damned surprised when they do. Life is far more interesting that way…never get disappointed. Brandon’s grandfather always said that. Don’t expect much out of life and you’ll never be disappointed. It’s a far happier life to live then one full of expectations that are never filled. Smart man I say.
Anyway, getting to the point, since I lack the capabilities to do it in a timely fashion (I’m turning into Brandon…woo!), Brandon is a proud new owner of an iMac. He unexpectedly got a very large unexpected bonus (did I mention that it was unexpected?) Since we have been able to cushion ourselves with the gracious help of my loving mother, we were able to spend some money and get Brandon his very own computer. He is all growed up now. Aww.

So whenever I realized I haven’t posted in awhile, I try and quick think of something to say so as to fill that empty blackness that is our website (literally).
Then I of course, since my brain works at 1/2 speed, think of something to write about 20 seconds after I hit the publish button. So then I add around four more posts after my first pretty worthless post.
This post isn’t really of any worth, but whatever.
So yeah, the WHOLE POINT HERE is, I really like Aperture 3. Aperture 2 SUCKED AT LIFE (that’s puke green color there for ya). I’ve heard from Brandon that a few of his friends say that Apple users are idiotic and brainless and like whatever Apple puts out even if it shits the bed. Well, I absolutely, and utterly, hated Aperture. It was a waste of space. I don’t understand why anyone would ever spend the time downloading it, besides the $200 they were charging for it. Go download Picasa, it does more, and it’s f-r-e-e.
Then, someone must have heard me say something bad about Apple, or God is saying “shame on you,” but they fixed Aperture. I don’t really mean fixed…I mean they said “okay, Aperture really shits the bed [yea they got that from me] so we need to start all over again.” So, now I don’t hate Aperture, I love it and I want it. Immediately. Of course Apple has to give free trials to this crap so then I can want it even more.
I’m starting to realize maybe I am an idiot and brainless. Huh.

Wow, I feel like I’m being neglectful here. It’s been, almost a day and a half since I posted. My poor blog, I promise not to leave you for this long, again. Mhmm.
Brandon will *hopefully* be getting his very own computer (no, he doesn’t have his own…pathetic, I know). Pending everything works out, he will be a proud owner of a Mac. Who ever thought, Brandon with a Toyota and a Mac. Hahaha. Makes me laugh. That evil creepy kind of laugh.
Tomorrow we will be taking Erik skiing at lab (I’m sure there will be pictures and video to go along with – we are those crazy annoying video camera type parents). Then off to my Aunt’s to get Erik’s hair cut, then out to dinner for Suzie’s (my 3rd sister) birthday dinner.
Then, you know, I really, like pretty desperately, need to work on my homework. Life needs to stop getting in the way. It’s getting tiring.

Awhile ago Patti promised “there will be something soon.” A little over a month later (that’s still “soon”, right?) and we’ve delivered on that promise!
As I’m sure most everyone has noticed we stopped using the website for the most part. Well, that’s thanks to iWeb and MobileMe (Apple’s web hosting “solutions”) sucking so badly. At first we thought it was great. A click here, a click there and you’ve got a website online! Then, we clicked some more, and added a bunch more stuff and all of a sudden, not so nice anymore… It finally got to the point where it would take literaly hours to update a blog post or make any changes.
So, something had to change, and now you’re looking at the results of that change. A brand new website hosted by GoDaddy using Wordpress! I think the new system is great. It’s completely web based so anyone can make changes (not just from Patti’s computer) and it’s not prone to dying.
Tell us what you think! We’d love some input on the new site and hope you’ll come back often because Patti and I both plan on postin more often since it is so easy to do (we can even do it from our phones!)

Sorry I haven’t updated in awhile. I haven’t had the internet!
School is almost over. I have been working so hard I can’t even tell you. I have barely had any time to think. I had a huge nutrition project that was due this week but since we’re leaving on Thursday I got it done and handed it in last week. Then I have my huge writing project that needed to be done by the 29th, but again, as we will be gone, I have it almost done so I can hand it in this wednesday.
Brandon and I moved some of the stuff out of the house too. Who knows when we’re going to close, but, we have to do it sometime.
So I haven’t slept. My insomnia has returned full force because I’m on no meds. And all of my Dr.’s can’t get their head out of their asses to help me fix this problem. I’m currently waiting a call back from my family physician. I hate them all.
I got a new phone. Well I got an iPhone. Without the internet, and Brandon not having a phone, and well, I just wanted one. On Apple blogs they keep saying that they should be coming out with a new phone this summer, but, whatever. I hate Verizon, and I hate AT&T. So it’s just a matter of two evils. The iPhone at least has all of the apps, and the unlimited data was cheaper than a blackberry.
So we’re all nervous about the finances with my father. I really have no idea about probate laws. It’s all a guess. From what I can figure out my mother isn’t responsible for my fathers debt since it was all in his name. But, she still has the house, so I have no clue. I get to spend some time while in FL figuring it out. Well hopefully.

So I’m officially on Spring Break. Yay! I have to drop my computer off today though, so I won’t be updating the website at all over the next few days. Not that I do it on a daily basis, but hey.
I have a little crack in my macbook and they’re going to replace the entire top cover, including the keyboard and mouse. Go apple.
I had a really rough week. I had two papers due that we got the topics on Wednesday, and they were due Friday evening. One paper ended up being 6 pages, the other 4 pages, so one can just imagine how much time I was spending on them between Wednesday and Thursday (I turned them in Friday morning because I was busy Friday). I also had class Wednesday night. Eh. At least they’re done. Hopefully I don’t fail.

So I started school on Monday, and so I have experienced all of my classes thus far. It appears my Philosophy class is my favorite, but I’m not surprised by this. Even though it’s an online class, and that’s not my favorite kind of class. The readings and the topics are the most interesting to me. I have to take a writing class again, even though I have already taken it. SU doesn’t allow you to transfer in their required writing course, so, I get to do it all over again. Not cool. Oh well.
Amy and I were chatting online today and there is this interesting feature called screen share. I tried it, and she said she could see my screen. How freaking cool. Gotta love Mac. I want to get an iPhone so that I can have all of my music there and be able to sync it all together. Since I have a mobile me account again too, it’s just easier.
I have decided to be as anti consumer as I possibly can. Yeah, I know it’s weird after saying I want an iPhone, but, it is my goal. To live more simple. iPhone and I’m done. I don’t let Erik watch any t.v. with commercials in it, because I believe it turns children in to being too materialistic. Then they can never be satisfied, because they always want more. I wonder if it will still be like when we went to school and he won’t fit in because he doesn’t really know about the new fads, or if society will have changed that much that it’s cool to not be cool, and not to know. Hmm…who knows. I hope the best for him, regardless.

Well I think I figured out how to quickly update the blogs and enabled comments, so feel free to leave some.
This is just a quick note to let everyone know this. I switched to the apple mobile me account for the time being to see how we like it.
Other than that Erik is well. He is talking a ton now. He can say pretty much, everything. We can understand almost everything.

Think I should invest in a mobile me account? I don’t know…we already own our domain and etc etc. I just want the ability to post comments damn it! I probably could figure out a way to get around it, but that requires effort. Thought. All of which I am not willing to give to this subject. I have too much already.
I had another lovely Dr.’s appointment today. This one was quite interesting. I also got to talk to one of my other Dr.’s today (yes, I have many) and he was basically clueless. Brandon got a bit annoyed, but I don’t know what to say anymore. I’m going to call my other other Dr. in Tunkhannock tomorrow. I’m so so sick of Dr.’s. Funny thing is, I’m more sick of the pain that they can’t fix. I hate them all!!! Okay, I’m alright.
Logan dreams very loudly. He squeaks, and grumbles, and barks. Oh billy. I wonder what he dreams about. Drake is pretty silent when he sleeps. I wonder if it has to do with his size. Heh, who knows.
My family has had some lovely drama, again. Who would have ever expected? I want to stay out of it. Please please please.
My good friend Nick has been a bright spot in my life as of late. The guy at Dick’s in the shoe department is a step up though. Maybe he has something in my size.
Brandon took some days off around my birthday since I can’t go back to work early (bastards who don’t know anything!). It shall be quite exciting. We have plans for dinner with Alicia and Ian for Thursday and on Saturday we are going to go see my cousin’s new baby, Noah. He’s beautiful. Can’t wait. Friday is my unbirthday. I’m going to be 25 again! Yay! I like 25. I’m going to have a couple more of 25 birthdays.
Oh and one of my good friends Mary got married. I’m so happy for her. Wish I could have been there. Congrats to her though. She deserves all the happiness the world can offer her.
So, we hope that Brandon can find a job, someday. The economy obviously sucks (777 points in one day, go us!!) but there is this lovely Marriage and Family program at SU that I really want to get in to. I got in once, with a bit of money given to me, so I can again…right? Yeah….right…. *sigh* Pray for us. Please.

Well, nothing really exciting has happened. We spent the weekend at the lake, and helped Brandon’s grandfather put together a shed. That was a fun filled day! Honestly, it wasn’t that bad. Brandon got a bit tired afterwards but he survived.
Then on Sunday we went to meet Scout, my mother-in-laws new horse. Erik was not so fond of the horse. I don’t think he liked the height. Well, Lyn doesn’t plan on getting rid of the horse anytime soon, and she promised Erik she would have a horse for him to ride once he got big enough. So, at least we will have pictures of him very young on a horse. Even if he was screaming. Ahem…
I like my mac, but the more stuff I do with it the slower I’m noticing it get. Granted, I do have the white one, so I guess the “lowest” model. I think it was the more expensive white one if that counts. Brandon and I tried to import stuff off of our camcorder and it about killed it. It was interesting.
I really don’t have many friends. It’s getting worse as the days pass. Marisa kind of forgets about me, Amy hates me and won’t talk to me, and Mary is in Hawaii. I talk to Lauren and Katie on and off, but they both live quite far away. That’s….about…..it. I suck. Oh well. At least I have my dogs that follow me around everywhere. Haha. They’re both Mom’s boys.
