Brandon and I, as Netflixed obsessed as we are, were able to add Julie and Julia to the vast catalog of movies we have seen.
We weren’t impressed. We rented it because everyone that I know who has spoken of it said they really liked it. Or that they were truly enjoying it. It’s was mildly amusing at best. We must be too critical. The Julia story was more interesting than the Julie story, and the movie was mainly based on the Julie story. I was hoping for some kind of insight into why Julia did her T.V. show, but they stopped the movie before they got that far. A movie about a girl who blogs about making all of Julia Child’s recipes, and that’s all it was, just didn’t hold my attention. I gave it 3 stars, just because I didn’t hate it. Bleh.

So we’re nearing that time again. It’s almost the end of the semester. I have one final, and two papers left. I only have one more class to attend. I had a exam yesterday, and it was brutal to say the least. Hopefully I pass that class! Yea, ME! I know, it’s crazy. There was one question I didn’t answer at all. I mean, at all. I drew a couple little pictures. Ha.
So sorry that we haven’t posted a lot lately (but maybe I’m apologizing to myself?) The truck is d-e-d (yes I missed the A on purpose) so life is stressful. Brandon had to take a personal day today to go out to where Nora’s sister lives to hopefully get the Neon transferred over to us. Now, to get the Neon running…haha. We’re praying. If we don’t get it running we have no idea what we are going to do. The truck is going to cost so much to fix, just for it to break again, because there are other things wrong with it. And other things going wrong with it. WHY?! Anyway.
Erik is also sickly. He has a really bad running yellownastyness nose. Now he is developing a cough. I was thinking of taking him to the Dr. this morning but when he woke up he was doing alright and the nose was slowing down. Of course once he got up and running his nose started running again. Eep. Mucinex for kids is great though, gotta say. Last time he got this runny nose stuff I just dealt with it myself and I got it to go away with no Dr. visit. Hopefully it will happen again that way.
Tonight is supposed to be date night for Brandon and I. As we are in such a rut with the truck, I’m making dinner at home and we’re going to a movie. That’s the extent of our extra entertainment. It’s okay, we’re happy with it.
At least Christmas is soon! Hopefully Erik enjoys it more this year!!

Well, I really liked the movie, a lot. Critics hate it, but it seems the fans really like it. I am one of those fans. I think New Moon was a lot better than Twilight. Personally I think the acting was a lot better, and the atmosphere of the movie overall was better. Maybe if I had never read the books it would be an okay movie, but since I have, I really liked it.
I play Monopoly City Streets everyday. I think everyone else should too. It’s a lot of fun. I own Song Lake Rd. (the rd. we live off of) and some roads down on campus. You can destroy other people’s streets and you compete against other people to be the one with the most money. I like regular monopoly though, and if you do, you should play, too.
Everything is okay
When did movie tickets become 10?! Appears I have been out of the loop. Brandon and I don’t go to the movies often, but I thought we went often enough that I knew how much tickets cost. Apparently not.
I have been trying to figure out how to attach audio clips to the posts. But it’s not working. Blast. I’ll figure it out.

Oh, and happy a week before your birthday, Brandon. 
So this morning after Erik got up and had breakfast, he was running around acting crazy. I asked if he wanted to watch a movie (something he has done very very very few times as we don’t have TV) and he nodded. I put Shrek on for him. One of the few younger kid movies that I own. He watched the entire thing. Intently. Didn’t look away. For the entire thing. The best part, well, maybe not best, but most notable was that he cried. The part where Shrek yells at Donkey to go away, and that he never wants to see him again. I was watching Erik when he was watching it, and I started to see his lip pout. Then the more shrek yelled the more he scrunched up his face. Then we Shrek walked away from donkey, he full out started screaming and putting his arms out to me. I went over and held him and told him that it was okay that the donkey would be back. Then when the scene in the forest where Donkey comes back he started smiling and laughing. What a beautiful little boy. So sweet.
Sorry that the quality of the picture is bad, and that there is a cushion missing on the couch. The picture was taken from the camera on my mac. Drake peed on the couch cushion so it was in the wash (lovely dog). This is exactly how he was for the entire movie though.
