So since I am not allowing myself to do anything but work on my paper once I sit down on this beautiful iMac that is Brandon’s, I figure I might as well share my music with you.

I am in love with this man.  You all may think I am crazy….but…I don’t care.  It’s amazing.  I think I’ve got Brandon liking him, too.

On facebook, my niece has become a fan of almost everything.  I tease her a lot for it, but the theme of a few of them has been “I knew about xyz before they were popular” or “when I was a kid I knew…”

So it got me thinking (yes…it hurt).  The first time I saw Coheed and Cambria was when they opened for Thursday.  Yes, that long ago.  They were the first band (there were three – Thrice was the band that played in the middle).  It was in a small-ish venue in Rochester.  I had never heard of them before, and it appeared not many other people had either.  No one really knew the words to their songs, but they seemed good enough, so when I got home I researched them.  This was late 2003, and they had just come out with their very first album around a month before.  They had a pretty pitiful website, but I figured what the heck, and ordered their c.d.  It was…pretty good.

So, I decided to keep tabs on the band, and when they released their next album, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth, I bought it on the release date.  I of course fell in love.  So ever since I have been a pretty die hard fan, seeing them two more times (both in small venues around Albany, they weren’t so big yet).

So yea, I knew about Coheed WAY before you all ever did.  Ha.  I got my nephew Anthony hooked way back when though too, so I guess he can stake a claim to them as well.  Maybe.  Just a little bit.

I gotta tell ya, I hate the Sirius online listening system. If you are using anything other than Internet Explorer, the artist and song will not display. So, are you going to pay oodles a month for a streaming radio station when you can listen online at random places for free…and they display the artist name and the songs?

If you own a Sirius radio and pay for the subscription, you have to pay 3 dollars EXTRA a month to use their internet player as well. WTH!

Get a grip, Sirius. Seriously.

When did movie tickets become 10?!  Appears I have been out of the loop.  Brandon and I don’t go to the movies often, but I thought we went often enough that I knew how much tickets cost.  Apparently not.

I have been trying to figure out how to attach audio clips to the posts.  But it’s not working.  Blast.  I’ll figure it out.

Off to class.

Oh, and happy a week before your birthday, Brandon.  :-)

So, I’m 26. I suck.
I had a good day though. Brandon got me piano lessons, and so we went and bought me a “portable piano.” In other words, I really nice expensive keyboard that does, like everything. It also plays like a real piano, which I love. I’m excited to start playing again. Then we had dinner at Green Arch. Very yummy.

We went to turning stone yesterday. It was WONDERFUL. We of course won nothing but had a kick ass time.
Oh, yeah, I have endometriosis. They finally discovered what was wrong with me. So, I’m on drugs, and it’s horrible. The medicine makes me sooooo sick it’s unbelievable. Even through all of this wonderful fun we have had I have been horribly sick. It makes my stomach ache so much I can barely sleep at night. I have been taking a lot of sleep meds because I can’t sleep at night. It’s, so, not fun. I still have the pain though. Grrrr.
