Our love is overflowing….  Gotta love Pete’s Dragon.

I can’t believe I’m actually taking a minute away from our other website to write on this website.  Brandon and I have put a lot of our time over the last few days into the website for the daycare Erik attends. Brandon and I are on the board to said daycare so we have been devoting some time to make it right.  I have been ridiculously excited about it, as it looks amazing already.  We have lots more work to do, but…we are awesome at making websites.  Just saying….  The address is: www.preblechildrenscenter.org.  Go look at our amazing work.

Since I have lacked in sharing any pictures as of late, even on FaceBook really, we will post some today.  Yes yes, good idea.

We took Erik to the zoo for the first time recently.  Since we are such wonderful parents, and the very first time he went was when he was four….ahem…..  He really liked it, anyway.  Of course.

I actually have kind of sucked during the month of June at taking pictures.  But during the month of May, I was rocking.

That last one there Erik was trying to jump for a rope that is about 6 feet in the air.  He really believes he is almost able to grab it.

I know I’ve gone on before about Erik playing soccer, and he did again, but it’s done already.  But then again, he starts up again in a couple of weeks, so, eh.  There was a lot of agains in those last sentences.  Ha.  Anyway, he’s gotten much better actually.  Still not quite there, and when they’re scrimmaging he runs away from the ball.  He will learn.

So we live on a lake, right?  Well, Erik doesn’t like the water.  He is refusing to learn how to swim.  It’s quite frustrating, but at the same time we are hesitant to try and make him because we are afraid he will then hate it.  Hopefully soon he will start to like it again.

Drake on the other hand, loves it.  He has really come into his own being the only dog.  He is such a sweet boy, and we pretty much take him everywhere since he is smallish.  He got much bigger than he was supposed to, and he definitely thinks he is a big dog.  He is tennis ball obsessed, loves to swim, and is lately trying to play frisbee.  He is ultra spoiled, but we love him so.

Have a wonderful day everyone.  I’m off to work on the other website (which I should be doing!  sheesh), and…we have 3 places we are supposed to be today.  I should probably…shower…maybe?

I like to go out on dates with my friends.  The kinds of dates where you eat food that you know you totally should not be doing if you want to weigh any type of respectable amount.  The kind where there is lots of laughing and babbling on about not much at all.  I do that with my friend Jen.  And we go to fun places that are named things like The Chocolate Pizza Company.  And we get these types of fun shirts.

Brandon <3′s me, you know he does.

We also get to go on play dates with our littles.  Jen’s little, her niece Lea, prefers Brandon over Erik though.

There was also this really amazing sunset going on the night we played.  I don’t have any idea who’s house this is – so if it’s yours, oh so sorry.  Don’t shoot me.

We all had fun at the park.  Even me.  Ha.

Now Emma had fun without us the day before.  I’m a really overprotective kitty owner, so poor Emma doesn’t get to go outside.  She begrudges me a little, and I feel bad, but still won’t budge.  Brandon talked me into letting her out on our porch upstairs since she couldn’t go anywhere but it was still outside.  Well, she went somewhere.

Erik came out in his underwear to see the commotion.  I wish I had his fear-less personality sometimes.

As we won’t obviously won’t be living here forever, here’s an image so you can enjoy our view too, even after we’ve gone.

Sunflowers

We have the worst bathroom in the entire world.  Seriously.  One wouldn’t understand how poor ole me can live in such squalor. Luckily, I am only in there for necessary things, and the act of blowdrying my hair is such a tedious task it doesn’t happen often. Brandon has also been trying to make my life a little better, and has been getting cabinets and such to make life in the bathroom less stressful.

Erik likes to help Daddy put everything together, of course.

We like sunflowers here.  Ashley and I planted a flower garden at the beginning of the summer, packed with sunflowers and other pretty flowers.  Well, apparently sunflowers are hearty, and survived through the excessive weeds still left in the flower garden.  They are the only ones that did end up growing, but they are beautiful.

Prepare for a picture overload.

Erik loves the sunflowers and gets pretty excited about them.  He thinks they’re fun because they’re so much taller than he is.  And he also not allowed to stand in the flower garden, and since I asked him to do just that so I could take his picture, he thought he was pretty freaking cool.

Excuse Brandon’s clothes – he just got done waterskiing.  Honestly, I’m surprised he could reach up that far afterwards.  : )  (it makes him a little sore)

We ended up having to go inside, because Erik started getting bit.

So we went over to Ashley’s house to visit the chicks.  They’re in the very cute stage, and Erik loves them.

Ashley’s cat Henry also likes it when we visit.

I’m off to read a hundred chapters in World Religions in America.  Envy my life.

So strangely enough, I am still alive.  We have been going through the motions of life but barely getting to sit down and just live.  Life has been unusually hectic, and well, I like it.

And the next thing to register on the strange-o-meter, I still have some pics from our garage sale that happened forever ago.

This here is my dear friend Jen looking oh so happy.  I’m sure she will murder me for this picture.  It’s alright.  I’m prepared to be murdered.  I’m a happy little girl, so I don’t mind.  : )

And this, this is my baby Lizzy.  I know I’ve already posted about her, but man, we love this puppy.  As well as her sister, Miley.

So moving on…Erik has decided that he has started to like going in the lake all by himself.  This is a large feat for our little, as last year for awhile we couldn’t only get him to walk in up to his shins.  Now he goes up to his chin.  I love watching him do it, and I am reminded everyday how much he has grown.  I can’t believe that he is such a big boy.  I am so proud of him though.  He is starting to learn to have no fear, and runs full speed at life.  I can’t wait to see him grow up and watch him go to his first day of school, and listen to his voice change, and watch him graduate.  My boy is special, he makes me happy, and damn is he cute.

Aunt Ashley has also been teaching him how to be a fishy since he will go in the water now.

And he loves it.  And Aunt Ashley.

Generally here at the lake it’s a dog pow wow.  This summer is no exception.  We enjoy having them around though.  Because, hell, we are completely dog people.

Lee likes to fish.

This weekend we also got the blessing of watching Jen’s puppies again!  Despite the minor accidents we love having them here.  We actually ended up with five dogs Friday night.  People must think we’re going out of our minds since our house is pretty tiny, but honestly, it was no big deal.  They’re much fun.  And, quite funny.

We had a wedding yesterday that we attended, so of course I have some photos from that.  Surprisingly enough, I really don’t have that many.  Next post.

I must be high on life or something, because I can’t sleep.  This girl is going on about 3 and a half hours of sleep.  My poor husband is ready to kill me I think.  On those wonderful nights that I can’t sleep, he always wakes up, and in his half asleep state, gets crispy at me for being awake.  He always apologizes later when he wakes up, but it’s still kind of funny.

Well I’m off.  Not like a prom dress, though.
