Wow, I feel like I’m being neglectful here.  It’s been, almost a day and a half since I posted.  My poor blog, I promise not to leave you for this long, again.  Mhmm.

Brandon will *hopefully* be getting his very own computer (no, he doesn’t have his own…pathetic, I know).  Pending everything works out, he will be a proud owner of a Mac.  Who ever thought, Brandon with a Toyota and a Mac.  Hahaha.  Makes me laugh.  That evil creepy kind of laugh.

Tomorrow we will be taking Erik skiing at lab (I’m sure there will be pictures and video to go along with – we are those crazy annoying video camera type parents).  Then off to my Aunt’s to get Erik’s hair cut, then out to dinner for Suzie’s (my 3rd sister) birthday dinner.

Then, you know, I really, like pretty desperately, need to work on my homework.  Life needs to stop getting in the way.  It’s getting tiring.

I really like WordPress, a lot.  Of all the Content Management Systems (CMS)/blog systems that I have used (and I’ve used a LOT), WordPress takes the cake.  I think it’s powerful, easy to use, easy to manage, very easy to understand and tweak, and has a HUGE assortment of plugins.

That plethora of plugins is also it’s biggest downfall.  It seems like for every one good plugin I find, there are at least ten more bad ones that either screw everything up, don;t work as expected, or just plain don’t do anything.

Kinda annoying if you ask me!

Hmmm… It appears that there was a bug in the Albums page that was causing an error message to display instead of the albums. I’ve since fixed that and the albums should be up and running again! If you see any bugs or have any comments or suggestions please feel free to contact us.

You better look, only because we took a few days to do this.  “This” is a lot easier to deal with though, once it’s all said and done.  It’s just that, well, we had to get to that point where it was ready to be done.

The albums are mostly uploaded.  Okay no they’re not at all but I’m working.  My computer only goes so fast.  But, the new viewing system is 100000000 times better.

Once we get all that hoopla done, I will start posting about our house renovations and actually add pictures and stuff.  I promise this will be much more interesting now.

Awhile ago Patti promised “there will be something soon.”  A little over a month later (that’s still “soon”, right?)  and we’ve delivered on that promise!

As I’m sure most everyone has noticed we stopped using the website for the most part.  Well, that’s thanks to iWeb and MobileMe (Apple’s web hosting “solutions”) sucking so badly.  At first we thought it was great.  A click here, a click there and you’ve got a website online!  Then, we clicked some more, and added a bunch more stuff and all of a sudden, not so nice anymore…  It finally got to the point where it would take literaly hours to update a blog post or make any changes.

So, something had to change, and now you’re looking at the results of that change.  A brand new website hosted by GoDaddy using WordPress!  I think the new system is great.  It’s completely web based so anyone can make changes (not just from Patti’s computer) and it’s not prone to dying.

Tell us what you think!  We’d love some input on the new site and hope you’ll come back often because Patti and I both plan on postin more often since it is so easy to do (we can even do it from our phones!)

058You think I would be better at updating this. If I didn’t hate iWeb so much, I probably would be better. At least that’s what I’m telling myself.

Erik is, well, Erik. I’ve noticed that in the past few months his facial features have drastically changed. I didn’t notice until I was looking through pictures tonight. He has definitely lost most of his baby look. I can’t believe how much he looks like a little man. We are quite proud of him, though.

He is still having trouble with his numbers, alphabet, and colors. He counts “2, 4, 6” most of the time. You can occasionally get him to say “1, 2” but the 2 is always followed by 4. He must hate the number 3. Poor number 3. Hopefully Erik remembers him soon. His alphabet is slow going as well. He knows parts of it, just not the whole thing. It’s cute when he tries to sing it though. Most of the time it comes out “A, E, P, D, T, C, W, R.” At least he knows what letters are. :-) His colors are iffy as well. He knows red, green, and blue, sometimes. He’s actually not too bad with those colors, but the other, well…still slow going. Other than that, he catches on really quickly. He knows the names of, almost, everything. Anytime you’re out somewhere he can name off the animals he sees (he knows every animal…he loves them). He’s really good with names and his gross motor skills are very advanced. Just, the other basic stuff.
The potty training is still horrible as well. Maybe Brandon and I started too early. We don’t know anymore. I guess it’s just best to keep plugging along. He’ll get it someday….hopefully.
